Tender fall-of-the-bone pork ribs made with cola and our Southern Braai - Fermented BBQ Sauce
Charmaine Mampe Ramalope-Makhubela
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Southern Braai - Fermented BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup cola
- 2 tbsp brown sugarÂ
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepperÂ
- 4 pounds baby back pork ribs
-
Salt and pepper
Directions
In a medium-sized bowl mix the cola, brown sugar, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and Southern Braai - Fermented BBQ Sauce.
- Place the ribs in a pressure cooker and pour the sauce mixture over the ribs, cover, and cook for 30 minutes
- Once the ribs are falling apart and very tender, preheat the oven to broil (or around 450°F) Carefully transfer the ribs to a baking sheet.
- Use a basting brush to baste the ribs with the reduced liquid (which should look like a sauce) Bake the ribs for 5 minutes or until crisp on the edges and the sauce is caramelizing.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately with the remaining sauce.
